Learn How to Administer Opioid Overdose Antidote Naloxone

The Counseling Center at Yorktown Heights, in partnership with Drug Crisis in Our Backyard, is hosting a free overdose prevention naloxone (Narcan™) training session. With opioid addiction on the rise, we as a community need to prepare and educate ourselves in overdose intervention methods.

Naloxone Training (Nasal) on May 20th

This training event is open to anyone who is or knows someone who is at risk of an opioid overdose. The Counseling Center works to help individuals with addiction through recovery and education. 

This event will cover how to recognize an opioid overdose and give step by step instructions on how respond by using naloxone (Narcan™), a medication used to reverse an opioid overdose.

This event is free, however a suggested donation to Drug Crisis in our Backyard of $10 would be appreciated, so that more of these training events may be held. 

Event: Nasal Naloxone Training

This event will cover how to recognize an opioid overdose and give step by step instructions on how respond by using naloxone (Narcan™), a medication used to reverse an opioid overdose.

Attendees should expect a two hour session and will receive a life-saving Narcan kit.

with a Clinical Assessment

The Counseling Center at Yorktown Heights is an outpatient addiction treatment center for adults and adolescents seeking treatment for addiction, alcoholism, and co-occurring disorders associated with addiction and substance use. The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) combines evidence-based, state of the art treatment with 12 Step principles. The IOP is an intense, focused experience designed to enable sober and productive living.
