Dair Melendez-Drier, LMHC, CASAC Clinical Director
Dair Melendez-Drier, LMHC, CASAC is a native upstate New Yorker. A graduate of Empire State College, she has over 20 years of experience in mental/behavioral health and addiction treatment, including experience at the American Red Cross (Certified AIDS/HIV Counselor), Catholic Charities, the Lexington Center for Recovery, RECAP, and the Office of Children and Family Services.
As the clinical director for The Counseling Center at Yorktown Heights, Dair provides one on one counseling, prepares and facilitates group counseling sessions, and helps treat clients with co-occurring disorders, substance use disorders, and trauma. She maintains the center's focus on quality of service, and attention to client needs.
Dair is bilingual (English & Spanish) and well-traveled. She has been all over the world, including Thailand, China, and Europe.
Alyssa Tortorella,MHC-LP, Counselor
Addictions Counselor Alyssa Tortorella, MHC-LP joined our team as an intern in 2015, working her way up to become a counselor after earning her Masters from New York University. Growing up in Yorktown Heights, Alyssa's life has been inevitably touched by addiction. She has lost many friends and students in her high school that have passed away from substance abuse disorders, and works every day to do everything she can to prevent more deaths.
Alyssia provides direct care to the patients of The Counseling Center daily, including individual therapy, group therapy and family counseling. She is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) and the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). She brings a passion for helping clients to reach their goals by working with them to create the right treatment plan, and arming them with the tools they need to prevent relapse.
Marci Willner, M.Ed, MHC-LP, CASC-T, Counselor
Marci Willner, M.Ed, MHC-LP, has worked in alcohol and substance use treatment for over 19 years. She earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology from the University of Maryland and her Master's Degree in Education from Campbell University. Marci is also a certified Mental Health Counselor. She has worked in many different areas as a counselor, but, with the current drug crisis, she feels compelled to continue working in treatment.
Marci forms a therapeutic alliance with her clients that builds trust with people in a very vulnerable position. She also has a passion for counseling clients families and loved ones to use self-care and set boundaries. Helping people believe that recovery is possible and guiding them towards the tools to put in place to be successful is what she prides herself on.
Francine Bassani, Administrative Assistant
Administrative Assistant, Francine Bassani, is a graduate of Western Connecticut State University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and is currently working towards her Master's Degree in Mental health Counseling. She is certified in Integrated Mental Health/ Addictions Treatment through the Columbia School of Psychiatry.
She has seen friends and family members struggle with addiction as a result of untreated mental health issues. After seeing this, Francine felt a strong pull to work in substance use and mental health treatment. She knows that with the proper treatment, clients can make positive life changes and live a happy and healthy life.
Tom Roskin, Outreach Coordinator
Tom Roskin grew up in Roslyn, NY and graduated from Syracuse University (Bachelor of Arts). His work as Outreach Coordinator for The Counseling Center allows him to communicate with people all over New Jersey and New York, helping connect providers to the individuals seeking help and the resources they need to improve their lives.
Tom grew up in a family of caregivers, including professionals dedicated to providing mental and physical support to individuals seeking to overcome the disease of addiction. As a student he developed insights into how different professional and clinical roles collaborate in the community of care and recovery. He now enjoys meeting new people in the Continuum of Care, and building the professional relationships that lead to successful recovery for clients of The Counseling Center across New Jersey and New York.

The Counseling Center offers State-of-the-Art professional outpatient treatment programs and individual counseling with 9 regional substance abuse treatment centers, in Freehold, Toms River, Clark, Fair Lawn, Middlesex, Monmouth Junction, and West Caldwell, New Jersey, and in Yorktown Heights (Westchester County), New York.
Outpatient treatment is a perfect adjunct to inpatient rehabilitation, and for those who qualify, Intensive Outpatient is an effective, comprehensive program of treatment and follow-up care. The Counseling Center works hard to collaborate with treatment centers and providers to maintain a Continuum of Care in support of successful recovery.
